"Great place to stay. I'm not into fancy or boujee hotels, so when i give this place 5 stars, i'm not talking about a $1000 a night gold plated Hilton hotel room. I'm going to be using the room to sleep in, and chill after a day of adventuring. This hotel checks all the boxes for that. Good location right off the 80 in west Truckee. Easy parking. Comfy beds. Mini fridge and microwave. Continental breakfast with muffins, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches or burritos. Some fruit, coffee, cocoa. Staff is cool af. There are some good food options in walking distance. Safeway, old Truckee, and such are a few minute drive. For what i'm after, this is a great hotel. "

"Best customer service at any hotel I have ever received. They were attentive and quick to help when toilet clogged, our fault. The property is clean, the beds are comfortable, quiet and safe place to stay. "

"It's a nice cozy log cabin. Initially we had the wrong door code but our host was able to give us a different one and then we were off to the races. Beds were comfortable and my SUV with a ski box fit inside the garage which is key. I loved the number of coat and glove hooks along the stairway to ensure everything was dry for the next day of skiing The only complaints from my family was that we weren't able to watch the 49ers game on the living room TV because "the channel was not authorized" by the cable/tivo provider, And the neighbors had dogs that barked late at night and early in the morning. Only one of the rooms has window shades so we got up with the sunrise which was around 7:30, there was no problem for us, but if the kids were younger and needed to nap that would have been challenging. The driveway is steep. I have an all-wheel drive SUV with good tires so we didn't have any problems but we were a little daunted by it initially. My kids and I had a fantastic time sledding in the backyard and made a little sledding track complete with berms. Overall we had a great stay! "
