"I discovered this hotel two years ago when needing somewhere to stay after moving my Nephew into his student accommodation! First impressions really do count as every time I come to visit him in Birmingham, THIS is the hotel we choose! From the very first visit we were made to feel so welcome & relaxed. The hotel is immaculate, food fantastic, the rooms spacious & again super clean! All the staff are amazing! My most recent visit July 2025 I was back to stay after having emptied my Nephews flat! We were shattered but we were able to come back here & just relax & switch off! My Nephew will be going into his third year at University September 2025 so we will be back very soon when we are down moving him in again! Thanks again to ALL at the Clayton for always looking after us! It really is appreciated! See you in September! Sophie & Family "

"This was a very decent hotel with a good breakfast. It is fairly easy walk from the train station and easy to get to Edgbaston for the cricket. Breakfast was very busy but well managed so everything was always available. "

"We are family with 2 kids 12 and 13 big family room with double and 2 single beds no pullout beds thank goodness as my boys are bigger than me. Furniture tired but we all slept well in comfy clean beds shower was cold this morning but we managed the 1 night "
