"Great location within the old city and close to all amenities and train station. The property had lots of character. Nice and quiet. Courtyard very pleasant and an added bonus. Lots of space and clean and functional. The one negative point is a very steep staircase and not easy to get up and down particularly with suitcase. Also could do with a more comfortable sofa Had a lovely holiday and Lucca is beautiful. Will be back"

Please also note the apartment was advertised with 2 bathrooms - that is not true - the apartment has got 2 toilets but not 2 bathrooms - there is only one shower. When i messaged the host he/she messaged back that the apartment was booked that night and they didn’t know why I was allowed to book it. "This is a beautiful property out of the busyness of Florence. Peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the valley where you are perched on the side of a hill. "Great spot in Lucca, very easy to walk to everything. We had some of the best food of our trip in Lucca! The owner was very helpful in getting us a taxi to the property after we had dropped off our rental car. The only small negative is it can be quite noisy at night due to the bar next door, but I guess that is the trade off for staying in the centre of town. We would stay here again! "
