"Very traditional and attractive building, our room had recently had some new power points installed but they had not finished decorating round them so were a little ugly . The food was good but due to them being very busy and obviously short of staff it took a long time coming. One night we ordered at seven thirty and it was 50 mins before we got our food."

"A warm greeting followed by being taken to our room (room 4) which was a large well furnished room on the front of the property. Super quality linen and a comfy bed. We enjoyed a drink outside looking over the Market place. In the evening we ate in the restaurant - booking definitely advisable. My husband had the steak pie and chips which he said was the most delicious pie he had eaten in years ....high praise indeed from a pie lover ! Plenty of choice at breakfast We would return if we were in the area again"

"We stayed in the White Swan part of the lodge which is said to be 100 meters from main building. I was expecting this to be in the grounds but it is a walk down the main road which was having road works done so difficult with cases and having to walk on the road. The room itself was clean and large. The restaurant back in the main lodge was small and quaint. The menu was your basic foods such as lasagna or roast dinner all served by a lovely young waitress. Staff were all extremely helpful."

"Lovely hotel, situated just outside of York and a few minutes away from the Park and Ride, which I would suggest you use to get into York. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the parking facilities were great."
Kings Head Masham by Chef and Brewer Collection

"Nice hotel in a beautiful location on the edge of the market square in Masham. The staff were really friendly and our room was good, it's a shame the bar closes early, we were up there for a gig at the Town Hall and wanted a drink afterwards with our friends, luckily the Bruce Arms were very accommodating. A nice place to stay, a shame there were no biscuits in the rooms for your afternoon cuppa though."

"We stayed 2 nights to visit Ripon and the surrounding area. This hotel is FANTASTIC! . 5 mins walk from Ripon market square. Our stay could not have been better. The staff were really friendly but professional and the hotel decor is up to very high standard We had the amazing breakfast and ate there one evening and it was lovely and very reasonable food and wine prices. 10/10"
