"Had a wonderful short stay at The President in Colaba. The hotel was beautiful and stylish, though slightly more dated than some of its peers (Taj, Trident, etc.). Had an upscale luxury feel to it, but with nice splashes or Indian culture and aesthetics. Room service was excellent. I was a bit disappointed with the surroundings— lots of construction so I didn’t the feel that I was hoping for, especially being so close to the sea and to the historic Colaba area. But that’s not the hotel’s fault....

"No frills waterfront location close to Taj Palace. Make sure you don't get conned by the Optometrist they have waiting in reception - we had come down to meet our local guide and thought was him only to be told by our actual guide that Hotel Staff would not let them wait in reception for us - bizarre but we had a great day tour. Laundry is super cheap"
