Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa
Underwhelming. This is a very ordinary hotel, despite the hot tubs, pool and spa. The decor is vile, all dull browns with turquoise. In the “Troutbeck” room there is a nasty trip hazard into the bathroom. A stubbed toe was annoying but a cracked skull would have been more so. Tip: if it’s not fixed ...

Wainwright Log Burner
The staff were great and enough of them, very helpful and polite and when we required the maintenance staff they came promptly. As is with a holiday site small but non serious repairs and maintenance sometimes required. Would be a thought to have “punch list†to leave for next guest arrival.
