"Upon arrival we were upgraded to the unit with the kitchen and it was excellent. I highly recommend booking this unit if you are staying more than a couple of nights. We had a big slider that let in the light and a beautiful balcony with chairs and couch with a view of the water. The hotel is steps from the beach. Each morning we had breakfast, some days off the menu, and other days just the complimentary which consisted of coffee, juice and toast or fruit. Each morning we were welcomed by Alejandro who served us with pleasure, and we enjoyed talking with him each morning. In the afternoon and evening Ismael greeted us at the rooftop bar and pool. We watched the sunset from up there. Food could be ordered until 8 pm which was very convenient. The entire staff was friendly and helpful including Miguel, the housekeeping staff, and others. We walked the beach each day which led into town, and we walked around and enjoyed a different beach club each day. Some charged 500 pesos per person, but if you visit a beach club like that, just make sure it includes the food and that they give you a credit for the charge when you settle your bill. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return. Casa Astral is in the quieter end of town, but we liked that. However, there are still a few cafes and restaurants nearby and taxis are very reasonable."
