"Property was in good location not far to walk to city or public transport. Room was simply but have most of what you needed. Only issue was there wasn't tea making facilities in room. You could get at reception but had to pay for it."

"Clean hotel with friendly and welcoming reception staff, however the breakfast room experience was deeply disappointing. Whilst I stepped out briefly to take a phone call, staff cleared my daughter's plate despite being able to clearly see she had not finished and was returning to the table (this was at 9.15am). At 9:28am minutes before the advertised end of breakfast service of 9.30am, she was refused toast and told it was too late. If breakfast is served until 9:30am, guests should be able to obtain their food until that time and be able to finish it. Actively clearing plates from unfinished diners and ushering everyone out of the room on the dot is unacceptable. I have no issue with staff preventing new food from being taken after the cut-off point but not before and guests who have already been served should be allowed to finish their meal in peace. This behaviour, particularly towards a young person whom they picked on because I had to leave the room to take a works call was completely unnecessary and left a very poor impression of an otherwise decent hotel."

"Clean and comfortable room. Continental breakfast was a disappointment. Little selection, no yogurts, apart from Greek and the bowl was empty. No fruit selection, apart from fruit salad. Pastries were either a croissant or pain au chocolat, cost for this £14. If I stayed again I would not have the breakfast. "

"This Hilton was more like an upmarket Travel Lodge than a first class hotel. The bed was large and comfortable but the room was cramped. Similarly the shower was powerful but the bathroom very cramped. The most disappointing aspects were the bar (not enough staff, long queues) and the restaurant (slow service, indifferent food). The best aspect is the riverside situation but the city centre is a long way away if you want to visit the shops. We would not stay there again."
