Some days it drives me forward when my legs have lost all strength. Some days the loneliness of the climb gives me solace. Some days the loneliness is drowning. Some days I know the route like a dream I have dreamt a hundred times. Some days I am lost at every turn.

I told the mountains, “Some days, I can only exist.” The mountains replied, “Some days, existing is enough.”
