"This is an older but nicely remodeled home. Beautiful views even with a rainy weekend. The lake laps right up to the edge of the property. Very close to town for entertainment but far enough away that you can get alone time. We would make 2 very strong recos. Put up curtains or blinds in the living room; it's disconcerting that the neighbors can see right in. Also, leave an instruction sheet for the TV; it was very challenging trying to figure out how the remote worked and what options were...

"A short trip for me and my adult daughter, so the two rooms and shared bath were perfect! Comfy beds! Kitchen had all our basic needs met- we ate our meals out since everything was in walking distance in the town! Really appreciated the location! Owner was very attentive and the process to check in was easy. They even gave a birthday cake for my daughter’s 26th birthday! Very thoughtful!! Definitely a great place to stay!"

"There are some inaccuracies in the listing which we pointed out to the host, but it appears after more than a week the listing hasn't been updated. The listing says check in is at 3:00, but didn't received check in instructions until after 5:00. There is an unexpected step down between the main area and the kitchen (which you must go through to get to the bathroom). The building was built on a slab, probably a garage conversion, and sits nearly at ground level. There were numerous earwigs...

"We loved our stay here! It looks exactly like the photo (so cute!) and the mattresses were SO comfortable. It's well stocked and felt like a home. The only thing I would note is that the location on the listing showed it as being in the middle of Calistoga - so we thought we could easily walk to dinner and the town - but it's actually a couple of miles away and not really walkable.
