"The wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for a short break in the New Forest. The hotel was great, our room was light and airy. Although a little warm because of the heat wave we were able to open windows on both sides that brought in a draft in the evening which quickly cooled the room down, that and use of the excellent shower meant that we coped easily. "Absolutely lovely oasis of tranquility in the New Forest. We took our small dog and everything was catered for from bowls and towels in the room to a washing station and poo bags. Staff were amazing, busy but always helpful and chatty. Food was top notch, as were the cocktails and a lovely breakfast. Can’t fault it, oh and there was air con in the room……. Thank god!"

"The bunk bed room was perfect for our two younger kids. However, the lack of air conditioning made it difficult to sleep during our stay due to the heat. Once the weather cooled down at night, the large fan helped a lot. Parking was tight, and there are four EV chargers outside, although they are quite expensive at £0.98 per kWh. "Had a wonderful stay - staff were very helpful, had a lovely large and clean room. Hotel is right on the main road through Lyndhurst and it could be a problem to some people but we were fine with it. There were no charging points for iPhone/ipad which would have been useful but again not a big problem. Would happily go back for another stay."

"We had 3 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms were nice but a little on the smaller side for a double. All the rooms had slightly different arrangement. Two of the rooms had a shower in the bath and for some reason one of the rooms baths didn’t drain well, we informed the hotel but they were unable to sort the problem during the stay. "Good atmosphere and history (Titanic connections). Restaurant yummy. Rate hotel down just a bit due to a towel warmer in bathroom which made entire bedroom warm, so had to crank down AC. Mattress not great. Woke up with stiff back. Also rate down when asking front desk about a shuttle bus which might take us to our cruise ship, was met with a response of “I have no idea; I’ve never been on a cruise.”"
