"I booked Olu Based on the reasonable price and great reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. The family were wonderfully friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, the 2 family dogs are a lovely touch for animal lovers and the villa is clean and quiet with great WiFi. Great hot water in the showers and a wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast is available on request. Would definitely stay again when back in Colombo."

"Older building restored, so understand that. Excellent dining options (non guests came here to eat). Small Roof top pool. Adjacent roof top bar. Zen garden. Room(s) had a long balcony on the bedroom side, and a huge balcony porch on the other. WiFi isnt great (slow) but other than that if you had a stove a person could live here. Its a 1 bedroom apartment basically. Area is upper class it seems, several consulates and ambassadors on this street"

"Beautiful hotel with old world colonial charm but the ventilation needs some maintenance as it immediately smells of old mustiness. But amazing breakfast spread and I definitely still recommend it for its history and antiquated service. Also great location in front of Galle face green"
