Excellent hotel! I'm in Sri Lanka every year and try to check out a new hotel in Colombo each time and this might be my favorite so far. Very clean and all the employees are polite, helpful, and professional. The rooftop restaurant and bar are good but warning very loud in the evenings. The gym is small and a bit dark but sufficient to get a good workout in. The lounge at the check in level is wonderful with great views of the ocean and we were lucky to be sitting there for some beautiful live piano playing. I would stay here again!

Check-in was easy and the service is lovely. Our first room reeked of cigarette smoke and they swiftly moved us to another room. Both the 20th and 21st floors had a strong mold odor present. Only stayed one night so we did not get to utilize the amenities. The bed was comfortable and views of the water were nice.

We stayed at the Amari at the start of our 3 week trip around Sri Lanka and then again for a couple of nights at the end of the trip. My friend and I both think the Amari was excellent. I used the gym, the pool, and ate at the roof top restaurant - all of which were good. The staff was helpful when we needed to find transportation any where. The breakfast is outstanding and is a great place to try many Sri Lankan dishes. One of the chefs told me that he specifically studied SL cuisine. All in all, I'd happily stay there again.

Their service was excellent. They were super helpful. I wanted to check-out early the next morning, so I went to the reception that night and informed them to do a quick process for the check-out. They were not only very helpful regarding the check-out process but also this gentleman at the lobby packed my breakfast just because I would not be there to have breakfast. The next morning they gave me a big box of breakfast with everything I like. Honestly the best and very caring place I have ever been. Hospitality at it's best! Will definitely recommend to others.

Perfect hotel to stay a night in after arriving into Colombo. We did a city Tuk Tuk tour before heading to Sigiriya the following day. Lovely cafe on the 6th floor. Special thanks to Yasasna on reception for telephoning our airline several times to track our delayed luggage.

Firstly the staff was fantastic, helpful friendly and polite. Food was exceptional both for breakfast, evening meal and afternoon tea. Watch the curries they are proper spicy compared to England. Roof top pool and bar great at sunset. Several different restaurants and all very good quality. The rooms are fantastic spacious and comfortable. They have thought of everything. If you are in Colombo it is worth a stay.
