"Second time of staying here. Brought friends to celebrate birthdays and an anniversary. Positives: room was clean, spacious and relaxing. Decor , good, Breakfast was extremely disappointing . Queued for over 15 minutes for food, food wasn’t hot so was unable to eat it once back at the table. Orange juice was warm and fruit available was alongside hot food hence warm and dried up. No cups and glasses available so had to ask. Unfortunately, some staff were rude. We did speak to the manager and he was very understanding and tried his best to accommodate people . First time I’ve seen a manager get his ‘hands dirty’ and help the staff. He clearly could see what a shambles it was. "

"Used to be a 4* hotel. It never was 4* but it was pretty good. Great breakfast and amenities in the rooms. Now that it’s been taken over by AO it has gone downhill. On Expedia it’s still advertised as 4*. There’s nothing in the room, no tea/coffee making facilities, no hair dryer, no bathmat, no nonslip mat for the over bath shower. The bedding was good quality and the mattress comfortable, but only one thin pillow provided which resulted in neck ache in the morning. Paid extra for breakfast, it was poor. The cooked breakfast consisted of cold sausages, cold hash brown and beans. Hardly a full English. The cold continental buffet was just as basic. The bar was poorly stocked and with the poor and slow service provided by an abrupt bar man. I was the only one at the bar and it still took 20minutes from starting my two drink order to sitting down to drink it. Probably my own fault for having expectations based on previous experience before it was taken over by AO who seem to be turning it into a youth hostel. I subsequently discovered that AO are AOHostels which explains a lot, but AO have it on their website as a hotel, which is definitely not a hotel anymore, it’s a youth hostel with a stylish reception. On the plus side, there’s no charge on the ferry to Canary Wharf for residents that would otherwise be £7.80 each way. "

"Fantastic stay (again) at Vertus Edit. Clean, modern, well equipped studio, convenient for travel connections (Jubilee line, Elizabeth line and DLR are all within 5-10 minutes walk) plus the offices, shops, bars and restaurants of Canary Wharf."

"We booked the place for a weekend away, and it was more than what we expected. The place was very clean, kitchen had everything that we needed. The view in the balcony was amazing. And the staff were very welcoming."

"- long queue over 30 mins to check in - given a different room to one I booked and front office staff refused to change on grounds they are overbooked! - In-room Dining simply refuse to pick up call - poor facilities in the room. So called Superior room does not even have disposable slippers"

"Easy walking distance from London City Airport, and excellent customer service. I really enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, the comfortable exceptionally well designed room, breakfast buffet, and noon checkout. Highly recommend!"
