"Needed a home base for a few days while exploring the region. It was central and served all our needs. Room was recently renovated and beautiful. Front desk staff were amazing. Everybody was really friendly. Had one issue with a black stain on a sheet - like it had picked up dirt from being dragged on the floor. When we showed it to the front desk they were horrified and immediately set to work fixing it. Otherwise room was clean, comfortable.
Because it’s a double room having two chairs in the room would have been nice - like a desk chair and a regular chair.
We really appreciated having both a luggage rack and a platform in the wardrobe area so we each had a spot to situate our suitcases - a rarity in most places.
Would absolutely stay there again when back in the area.

"Thank you for hosting us at the schoolhouse suite! Everything was exceptional! The suite is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. Our host provided lovely goodies that were delicious and so much appreciated. We are so grateful to have found this hidden gem for our trip to Manitoulin Island. The suite is conveniently located for accessing many of the island’s highlights. We are very happy to have stayed at the charming, cozy, and quiet schoolhouse suite - such a great experience all around! "

Rooms are decent, only the washroom didnt have lock.
Other than that you cannot expect more as the location here will be closed by 8 pm.

"The dock is not as it appears in the photo on the posting. There is a dock approx. 20-30 feet from shore(see photo). Nowhere to launch the kayaks. Disappointing as these were the 2 attractions we were excited about when we chose this place. The overall cleanliness of the cottage could use improvement. Ie: Fans, floor, fridge. During our stay there was a leak in the ceiling due to a heavy downpour. This was brought to the hosts attention. We learned during our stay that there were limited hours for garbage disposal, and as a result ended up taking our garbage home with us. We also learned upon our arrival that the water is not potable."
