"We enjoyed our stay. It was off-season, so dining options were limited, but the place itself was great. Kitchen was extremely well-stocked and there were a lot of games, etc. available. It was close to the beach and it was easy to walk our dog there. Highly recommend, especially if you have a pet and/or kids."

"The cottage was perfect size and space for our 4 person group and was very clean inside and out. The beds were remarkably comfortable, especially after exploring all the hiking trails on the Island. The complimentary firewood was a nice touch! Only caution is if you're driving in from The Sand Road, google will provide directions to turn down a private driveway, so ignore those directions and proceed to Lake Huron Drive to access Burke Street."

"We had a wonderful stay. The schoolhouse was cozy and comfortable - the pictures don’t do it justice, it’s so cute!! Lots of nice homey touches and great communication from the hosts :)"

"Immaculately clean and nicely decorated. It was a relief to find somewhere that would take our, small, non- shedding, dog.Please note, this is a small bunkie set behind a house so no views and limited seating inside (one chair).Could do with some upgrades and tlc (shower, towel rails would be useful. It would be good to have known we needed to bring a hairdryer).We rented in mid-September. There were very limited dining options in Gore Bay (none at all on the Tuesday evening, and the supermarket closes at 6). Leanne: please provide a hotplate and minimal cookware (skillet, saucepan with lid)! None of this is expensive and a portable hotplate is easy to get from IKEA. A toaster oven is not enough!Were surprised to be sent a bill for an extra 92 including the VRBO service charge shortly before our stay."
