"Stephen was a wonderful host showing us our room on arrival and explaining arrangements there. Room 3 was extremely well appointed with our own entrance and outdoor space. The small kitchen area included a microwave great for a cosy meal in. The continental breakfast was amazing and really set you up for the day. Set in quiet countryside outside Bideford with easy access to local attractions and exploring the countryside. A really relaxing break for us and would definitely recommend staying...

"Firstly, the food was excellent. Breakfast was lovely and the supper we had on one night was superb. However, check in was rather odd - the hotel was closed (at 5pm) so we rang the number on the door. We were greeted with….’We’re not open to the public but I’ll check you in’ - not quite a welcoming experience! We were shown to the room and then there was a comment of ‘there’s sometimes a problem with the hot water up here…but you should be ok’ - what a bizarre thing to say to new guests! The...

"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."
