"Great hotel, super friendly staff, lovely swimming pool. Awesome breakfast served by fantastic waitresses who were lovely. Good sized room and excellent shower, floor a little creaky and bed slightly hard but to be expected in a property of this age. No evening meals unfortunately but plenty of local food options nearby. A little bit of noise in the morning from the coaches running their engines first thing, not excessive. Overall very happy with our stay at Laguna, nice old fashioned style hotel with plenty of character and good value "

"My wife and I stayed there for 3 nights last week. We were looked after extremely well from the moment we booked in until we left. We were fortunate to have a room that had a door out to the gardens and that was close to the bar and restaurant areas. It made a change to stay in an old hotel that had loads of charachter instead of the more modern style hotels. All staff were attentive, polite and welcoming. We will certainly stay there again."

"We had an overnight stay before boarding our ship the next day. Parking for me was great and complimentary but I do think there is a charge normally. At reception we were met and our cases were taken care of by the porters, receptionists x 3 were at hand for booking in. We had booked a standard room So I asked if we could upgrade and was given a superior room with balcony and views of the Solent and cheap as chips. Our cases were in the room as we got there No struggle. The bed was a king size and bathroom had bath and separate shower. My only criticism, the step up to the shower was too high for me. Dinner was at Marco Pierre White restaurant and was excellent and at a reasonable price. Our sleep was long and uninterrupted (bliss). Morning coffee provided. Our breakfast experience was one of the best we have had in Southampton say no more. Would we stay here again? Mmmmmm. You bet your life we would. Well Done!! Ken & Jill Haycock. "

"So convenient for cruise terminals "

"We stayed for a week getting to know the area and as a base to see some friends nearby. Only managed one yoga class; would have liked to have done at least one more. The restaurant on site gave us options, as did the large patio area at the back, giving us a peaceful spot for a picnic. Easy enclosed walk around large field around back perfect for a dog walk. The hotel is on a busy road, but this does give east access to seaside and New Forest. A fridge in room would have been helpful to keep milk and drinks cold - it was 30 degrees most days."
