"We stayed at the bear for one night and I have to say it was perfect for what we needed. I was unable to find a taxi so the very kind manager tito took us to the venue in his own car now that is exceptional service. Thank you will definitely visit again."
"Room wasn’t that clean
The shower wasn’t easy to use because of the head room. The room was very basic.
The restaurant didn’t tell us they were closing so the kids missed out on pudding. Breakfast most of the breads were dry and tasted like they had been left out. I ordered poached eggs and they were terrible. Basically shouldn’t offer poached eggs if they can’t make them. Stay was basic."
"First, the staff - all of them - at The Channings, were superior. Friendly, helpful, accommodating, and willing to go out of their way to help. You won't find better, imo.
Next, The Channings is a lovely building, inside and out. Built in 1865 as a lavish home, it retains much of its original architectural beauty - plaster moldings, lovely staircase, beautiful floors, stained glass windows, and gorgeous woodwork. The beer garden is spacious and there's plenty of seating, though it's all picnic...
"Quite satisfield with our room. Shower was very feeble and needs upgrading. Only one bedside table which is not what we require wherever we go. Room 7."
