"Staff were very helpful. Good position for staircase to the moon. Felt rooms could have been cleaner like bathroom drains that smelt, more thorough vacuuming. and aircon not working efficiently. Generally ok though. Local bus stop just outside which was handy. Bus goes every hour. Very reasonably priced."

"We loved our stay at this very charming and unique property. The property is small and intimate with a lot of charm. It has a fascinating history and has been the home of a major figure of Broome’s history, Lord McAlpine after whom it is named. He is a major contributor to the development of Broome into the charming town it has become preserving its special historical character as a pearling center. The owner of the property is a lovely woman who engaged with us about the history of the property and Broome whose own family has a history with the pearling industry there. We strongly recommend a stay at the Pinctada McAlpine House."

"The room was very basic - bed, table & 2 wooden chairs. The weather was great so not having a comfortable chair did not become a problem. I was surprised on the lack of security. We did not even have to register our car number. It looked like anyone could drive in and park their van. They would need a pass to get into the pool area, however."

"The place was well located. Bus 20 minutes walking distance to most restaurants and Cable beach. Bus stop just outside the hotel yo go into town. As most people have mentioned the rooms are old and could do with a makeover. Be co prepared for the shower. It is beautiful but it is outside. We didn’t mind though. The staff at reception were all very nice and helpful."
