"Our experience was extremely disappointing for three reasons. First the property, which is quite old, has not been well maintained. The word I would use to describe our room is "shabby." Pretty shocking at this price point. Second, the management and service levels are below par. The primary draw of the property is the ocean view, meaning the property is located on a sloped hillside. That means stairs and distant parking lots. We arrived at night and no assistance or explanation was offered...

Tree sap on outdoor chairs. Biggest issue is that in a room for 4 people - 2 get a converted leather couch that flattens to a full, not a queen but a full-size. And then there's nowhere to put your suitcases. Staff only offered a room upgrade for second night, but we were settled and unpacked and leaving the next day...

"We received a very warm and genuine reception and given a choice of room to select. We had a good nights sleep. The facilities were very clean and worked well. Breakfast was simple but adequate. We would stay here again as it is very convenient for Monterey and the 17 mile drive to Carmel."

The three times we left over two days I use the QR code on the little ticket they give you to request your car be pulled up and basically requested 30 minutes in advance which is not a problem whatsoever.
