Lovely place to stay

We had a lovely stay at Shepherds Barn, we went for the Goodwood horse races and because of its location, the property was perfect for us. Everything was really clean and in great condition. The surroundings were beautiful. It was great to also have a little kitchen to make our own breakfast in the morning.

A peaceful haven in beautiful surroundings

Great little place - booked because of its closeness to where I was working, but a very pleasant surprise. Loved the out door table - had my breakfast out there almost every day. Will return to stay when I’m not working. Ideal for events at Goodwood, quiet and relaxing. Perfect getaway spot.

Country Bolthole

This compact and bijou country bolthole was very comfortable, which was fully equipped. Extremely warm with underfloor heating and a woodburner for those cold winter evenings. The owners fully respect your privacy, but are probably on site should you need them. The bed was extremely comfortable, however you need to be reasonably agile to get up to it and down from it as it's up a wooden staircase on a mezzanine. We found this to be amazingly cosy, but it might not suit everyone. The area is quiet and reasonably remote so you'll need a car to get to Chichester, Goodwood, Singleton, Witterings, etc. There are lots of walks right on your doorstep, so get your wellies on and get to one of the country pubs for a good meal and a pint of British beer. There's minimal light pollution so you'll be able to stargaze and, if you have one installed, you can use a constellation app. We had an awesome trip and I'm sure you will too.

Beautiful Barn

We could happily have stayed longer at this beautiful, cute amazing barn. Everything provided to make our stay warm and snug. Food and wine left for us a really kind well appreciated touch. So clean, with beautiful shower room. Very quirky, most comfortable bedroom area. Even in December the location was lovely, Perfect for us to enjoy our stay and then onward to visit family in Southampton. Would love to return in spring or summer to enjoy the lovely courtyard garden and views. A perfect place to stay.
