"This hotel is really well located & has been there for along time. It consequently has limitations that a more modern built hotel will not have.
We had a Twin King room & the beds were really comfortable. The room however didn't provide any storage for clothing etc beyond an open coat rail with half a dozen hangers at one end with a "hat shelf" above!!!! There were no drawers / regular shelves etc so we lived out of suitcases for three nights with clothes piled on the floor next to the case! The room did have a mini-fridge which some may find useful but I would suggest this is either removed completely for shelves or, if plenty of others find it useful, build it into a full height unit with shelves/drawers above.
There are only two lifts which, normally may be OK but, unfortunately, one lift broke down &, as we stayed over the weekend, the manager was unable to get the lift company to fix it before we left on the Monday. What I will say is that he was right there out front trying his hardest to help people use the working lift as efficiently as possible & chatting to us to help pass the time while we waited.
And in general the staff were all really friendly (bar one front desk chap who was pretty helpful but he def did not exude the warm welcome you expect of service staff in the USA)!!!!
In summary this hotel was "OK" - it was very well located and so good value in terms of price so, if you don't mind a few small compromises definitely go for it!"
