"We stayed at the Border Hotel for a couple of nights while walking St Cuthbert’s Way. The bath was a very welcome addition to the bathroom & we certainly made use of it during our stay. The bed was a little too soft & a bit lopsided but after our hikes we slept like logs anyway. This is a no frills hotel but it had everything we needed. Hearty food & a lovely friendly team. "

My suitcase was carried up to our room - which was very much appreciated. We enjoyed a tasty evening meal & hearty breakfast which ensured an excellent start to our hike. The team were attentive & nothing was too much trouble. I’d recommend Burts to anyone & would happily stay again. Thank you team Burt’s for a lovely nights stay! "
