"The property was beautiful and the hosts were very helpful! It was the perfect spot for a getaway with friends! The location was perfect as it was a short drive from town and right on a gorgeous lake, where we had access to canoes and kayaks. We went on a few gorgeous hikes around the area (Whiteside Mountain, High Falls, and Rainbow Fallls at Gorges National Park). I highly recommend staying here, and I can’t wait to book my next trip!"

"The Treehouse Suite at The Calhoun House is a great property. This particular suite is located in a separate building from the other suites, which was ideal for us, as we had our baby and toddler with us. We did not worry about disturbing other guests if he cried or was a little loud. Edward was amazing as we checked in. "Had a last minute opportunity to visit my daughter and looked at VRBO since I've always had great luck with them. Got to the property and found out that my room was 1/4 price per night. I paid VRBO more than 4 times what the hotel price was per night. Property was just barely OK. Pool was closed. Breakfast made my daughter violently ill which put a damper on the weekend. Feel stupid and taken advantage of...and yes, I am part of that responsibility so that is why I am writing this review...buyer...
