About this property
Water View-Walk town/beach, pets considered, Linen Option
It's all about LOCATION-just steps from deeded access to the Mill Pond where you can launch your Kayak without ever having to put it on your car. This spacious and well appointed home is just off of the LOOP in a sought after private neighborhood. The Marina and Yacht Clubs are a short distance away with Main Street and Oyster Pond nearby also. The interior has recently undergone an "updating" with all walls and ceilings painted throughout.
This house is not a traditional rental, it is a home where memories are made. Over the years it has been the venue for special wedding anniversary years.e.g. 25th, 40th, 50th and for one couple and their family 60th. as well as for those milestone birthdays up to and including the 90th. Many families of the bride or groom have stayed here for the last minute wedding preparations (including my own two daughters).
Read the reviews--extended families love it, perfect for that entire family gathering. Check out the floor plans-you will be very comfortable here. I should know I just spent a recent weekend there with my children and grandchildren--8 adults and 8 children Everyone was quite comfortable.
The minute you pass through the entry door you will find the fully equipped well appointed Chef's kitchen with its cherry cabinets, Bosch and Electrolux stainless steel appliances, and wet bar. The center island is great for hosting a buffet meal or for just standing around enjoying snacks and drinks with guests. From the kitchen, you will step down into the 400 plus square foot sun room with its brick floor, gas log fireplace, comfortable wrought iron furniture, a large flat screen TV . In addition there is a farm table for dining or game playing. All of the above make this room is a magnet for gathering. Overlooking the patio and backyard is an added bonus.
You can step out through the sliders to the brick patio with a comfortable brick and bluestone wall for seating, recliners, and tables and chairs for Al fresco dining. Sipping your morning coffee, checking emails or just enjoying nature adds to the serenity and ambience.
From the sunroom, you can also step up into the formal dining room for eating or for card playing or puzzles.
From the dining room you enter one of the four large common rooms. This first one has a gas log fireplace, large bay window with window seat and plenty of room for many to gather and share memories or for one or two people to sneak away and enjoy some quiet time-meditate, read and relax.
While heading for the first floor bedrooms and baths you will pass the second common room which is a cozy den with a queen sleep sofa and pocket doors. There is also a flat screen TV and plenty of books to read. Should the need arise for a quasi "6th" bedroom the pocket doors can be closed for privacy.
There are four more rooms on the first floor.
The first floor Primary suite has its own bath, a queen bed (with a brand new queen mattress), twin trundle beds and a flat screen TV. It is adjacent to a very large study(400+ square feet and the third common room) with a gas fireplace and very comfortable leather furniture, and another flat screen TV. There is also a desk and printer for those who have to work while vacationing. The study overlooks the second patio and the gardens at the rear of the home. This can serve as a family suite when combined with the Master or can be perfect for a couple wishing to have their own private space away from it all. .
Of the other two bedrooms on the first floor one has two twin beds and the other has a queen and a twin. These two bedrooms share a bath off of the hallway. (NOTE BENE: Pictures haven't been updated to show bedroom with queen and twin-picture shows two twins)
There are pictures of all of these rooms with the listing. All five bedrooms plus the den and sunroom have ceiling fans in addition to central air.
You now ascend the bridal staircase to the second floor. At the top of the stairs to your left, you will see the Great Room (the fourth common room) with its wet bar (with refrigerator), views of the water and stairs leading up to the roof deck. The Great Room has numerous 6 foot long windows overlooking the back yard and gardens. There are also sliders off to a small balcony-great. place for meditating. This room also contains a large flat screen smart TV for streaming, There are two tables for game playing, puzzles or dining. Perfect place for mixing up those end of day martinis prior to dinner.
To the right of the bridal staircase you will see the magnificent second floor Primary Bedroom with a brand new King size bed and mattress, private sitting area (that has a full-size sleep sofa) and a TV. This room has its very own special black granite and white marble bathroom. This bathroom has a cast iron soaking tub and a rainforest shower. This room is perfect for the bride to be and her attendants prior to the wedding. (many brides to be have stayed here, including my own two daughters.) The drapes are room darkening for those wishing to sleep in. NOTE BENE: PICTURES HAVEN'T BEEN UPDATED TO SHOW THE NEW KING BED)
The second bedroom on this level has a queen size and a twin size bed. There is also ample closet space and a beautiful view of the outside. The drapes are room darkening for those wishing to sleep in.
There is a fourth bath in the hallway that services the bedroom as well as general guests.
The easily accessible 475 square fort roof deck has reclining chairs for sunning and three tables that seat twelve. From here there are water views-sometimes as far as the Atlantic. There are also views of the Mill Pond, Mitchell River, the drawbridge and parts of Stage Harbor.
The outside lot is professionally landscaped with a lush green lawn and a wide long expanse at the rear of the house for lawn games or just relaxing.
The closest Beach, Oyster Pond, is just a 10-minute walk away and downtown is a 15-minute walk. There you will find many great restaurants and shops as well as a movie theater. Veterans Field, the home of the Chatham Anglers, is less than a mile away. The entrance to the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking off of Crowell Road is about a mile away.
Be sure to check out the accompanying floor plans to see how this property can best serve your needs as well as the video which appears after the second picture.
This location is ideal--convenient yet quiet. Chatham is midway between the Sagamore Bridge and Provincetown. There is a Linen Option for an additional fee or you may bring your own or rent on your own from one of the linen rental companies which will deliver to the house and retrieve them on your departure. At the discretion of the owner a security deposit may be required. For immediate response, you can email me at chathamrental9gmail.com. Or dial seven eight one, four three nine, nine zero eight five.

A wonderful vacation thanks in part to our accommodations at this lovely home that allowed my family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) to be comfortable.
We had a fabulous stay in Chatham! I was with 9 other women on a girls’ getaway. The location was perfect! We walked to town, several times and had drinks at Chatham Bars Inn, which was also within walking distance to the house. We spent an entire afternoon in bathing suits at lighthouse beach. The weather was perfect for sunbathing in late September! We made a big dinner our last night. Thank you, Paul, for quickly responding to my message about the grill. Much appreciated! Everyone was very pleased how it all worked out. We loved the spaciousness of the house. There was plenty of room for all of us and the backyard was perfect for corn hole! Thank you for everything!
The 10 of us, including 2 little kids, loved staying at this fabulous property. The kitchen is large and well-stocked. There are enough bedrooms for 4 couples plus each kid. And so much space to be together, including dinners as a family, as well as spots to have quiet time alone. It was too hot to benefit from the 2 outdoor patios and rooftop...maybe next year! We have already reserved a return visit.
Plus, the landlord was VERY responsive to our questions, texting back quickly and calling us when we needed him.
Altogether a wonderful experience!
We spent a week at this lovely Chatham property! It was the perfect setup for us. We brought our 2 grown adult children, their spouses and their babies. One was 20 months, the other 5 months. There’s a room off the kitchen that was perfect for gathering with a toddler and the back yard is fantastic! You can walk to town and the beach, although there are no sidewalks for a stroller so we mostly drove, which was very quick & easy. The homeowner is very easy to work with! We rented cribs and he accommodated the drop off just before we arrived. We highly recommend this home away from home property!!
This house comfortably holds a larger family/group. It is spacious and well-organized to accommodate multiple hangout spots, and family meals. The house is well located and was very clean. It was exactly as promised in the description. The overall property provides a large outdoor yard and patio to play for younger guests and for adults to relax and bbq. The kitchen was well stocked.
The owner is readily available and provided excellent support for our trip. He was able to help with linen rental, which was important as my group had no ability to bring our own since we came from three distant areas of the country.
I highly recommend this property. You will like the location for its access to beaches, town, etc, and you will like the property itself. The owner takes pride in his house and it shows.
ABOVE and BEYOND! This is a great home for a Family Reunion
This house was exactly as promised in the VRBO description. The owner takes obvious pride in his home, was friendly, and very easy to work with. We rented the VRBO for a "big birthday" family reunion, it accommodated eight adults and five children comfortably, and we thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay. The home is clean and spacious, with private areas that allowed quiet time for families with young children, as well as multiple gathering rooms and a large outdoor yard and patio where we socialized. The centralized kitchen is well stocked. Paul was helpful with linen rentals. When asked, he also suggested local restaurants for us to try. The location is convenient yet quiet. A 15-minute walk to downtown Chatham and a 10-minute walk to the closes beach. I cannot recommend this property more highly. Thank you, Paul, for helping us to make such great memories in your beautiful Chatham house!
Very happy with our stay. Location not far from Main St. was great. The house was very clean, kitchen best equipped we’ve ever experienced, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, lovely roof-top deck, outdoor shower great for after beach. Great communication from owner. A very successful 3-generation vacation!
The location and house are both wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paul's house in Chatham. He was an excellent host, checking in if we had any questions, and providing recommendations around the area.
I cannot say enough about this charming home. We are a family of 8, including grandchildren (ages 17 and up), grown children and us, the grandparents! The home is beautifully kept, clean, very well located, roomy and wonderfully decorated. If you are looking for sleek and sterile, leave this home for the rest of us who appreciate something that shows character and love of family. The owner makes it a dream to use with his easy directions, suggestions and notes for a comfortable stay. We would love to stay here again.
Paul was very, very nice, helpful, informative and accommodating. The property was spacious, well-maintained and immaculate. Location near town center and beaches was outstanding. House was better stocked than any other place we have ever rented. (You’re on vacation, but need 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil…). Really cannot recommend the rental highly enough!

Chatham-Walk to Town-Waterview Property #29193
This was our first time renting through VRBO and we were renting a home to utilize for our Daughter's Destination Wedding on the Cape. The owner was absolutely fantastic to work with. He went above and beyond by providing suggestions for Wedding vendors that proved to be excellent. The home is beautiful and is much nicer than what can be described in a verbal descriptiion or even pictures. It is very spacious and can easliy handle the 17 it sleeps. The property is immaculate and very well maintained. Even though this was a destination wedding for us it was as if this was our own home. I would highly recommend this property. Our personal thanks to the Owner for a first rate rental experience.
Despite the wind, chill and some rain, we also had some sun and warmth, but it was October. The hosts have created a spacious beautiful home that accommodated my wife, me and two adult children and their families of four; ten totally. It really was plenty of space (& then some) for us all. They've decorated it beautifully with French impressionist art and nautical themes.
I would 110% recommend this house for a large group vacation. We had 14 people and everyone was extremely comfortable and happy with the house and the location. Paul was wonderful to work with throughout the rental process and was very responsive to any inquiries I had. We will absolutely rent again.
Cool weather on the back porch was hard to beat and became our morning and evening family gathering spot! Close to town but still the lush, lovely, and quiet surroundings made it the perfect location for a serene vacation. Only wish it had a King bed, but we made it work. Owner is helpful and informative.
My family and I had the pleasure of staying here the week between Christmas and New Years. The house provided the opportunity for us to come together as a family but also have more than enough space to have privacy and quiet time. My four boys loved the bonus room on the second floor and the roof top deck was perfect for watching NYE fireworks. Paul was quick to respond and very gracious. Location can’t be beat and the home is lovely and comfortable. We are very grateful we were able to stay here and hope to be back!
We had an amazing week at the property with our family, which included two young kids. It is very spacious home with ample space for any activity your family has in mind. The house is immaculately cared for and charmingly decorated. The amazing roof deck and ample backyard lawn and patio made for many wonderful family memories soaking in the summer sun. Paul, the owner, is wonderful to deal with and very attentive to any needs or questions that arise. It is truly an amazing property and ideal location in Chatham. We will certainly be back.
House has plenty of space- tons of rooms. House in quiet neighborhood of Chatham but close to all you need to get to. Kids loved the large flat backyard to play and run. We will not hesitate to book the house again.
Quintessential Cape Code coupled with Luxurious Accommodations
My family (Wife and I, 4 adult sons, elderly parents) and one of the groomsman stayed in this home for our sons wedding. We could not have picked a better home for our special time. The home is immaculate and beautiful. Plenty of comfortable beds and bathrooms. The Master Study and Great Room with Roof Deck are incredible. The Great Room and Roof Deck were major hits for post-rehearsal dinner and wedding reception nightcaps.
Paul, the owner, was a great communicator and always responsive. He was generous with our check in and check out times for which we were grateful.
My wife and I give this home our highest recommendation.
I also recommend Cape Code Linen rental for your bedding and towel needs. Dave was great to deal with!
This home has it all. It's beautiful, spacious, well stocked and inviting and Paul made sure that everything was perfect for our arrival. The grounds are stunning, but if you did want to venture further, you could walk to town or to the Pond.
Book it, you won't be disappointed.
