"Historic hotel with great service and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was large and had two air conditioner units which kept the room very cool. Wonderful location within walking distance to all places in King Street and close enough to walk to City Market. Bike tour guides were always nearby if you wanted to have a nice tour of the Battery and neighborhoods. Starbucks downstairs. Wonderful stay. "

"This was our first time at the Ryder hotel. It was located very conveniently in downtown Charleston. The staff was very friendly however, when we were by the pool, the service there was somewhat spotty. Often times staff would just ignore anyone who was sitting at a table and not offer them a drink. The pool was nice to have on a hot day however, it was very murky and cloudy looking. Not sure how often they check for chemical balance. Both my husband and I felt very itchy after being in the pool...
