"We were so happy with our stay here. We had an extended family visit to see puy du foy. The accommodation was very large and perfect for our big group, the grounds were beautiful and the children loved the outside space. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The host was beyond helpful and was very kind after my daughter twisted her ankle in the garden (entirely her own fault as she fell over a football the children had been playing with)."

"The gentleman who dealt with our arrival, was lovely. Helpful, kind and efficient. The property was a delight, with it's old fashioned charm and features. However, we booked a comfort double bedroom and after our stay, I went back onto the pictures of a comfort double and there was none of the bedroom we were given, which was so tight, they could not get a bedside stand on both sides of the bed! My husband, who is not big, could only walk sideways up between the bed and the wall. The bathroom was the same, to get into the shower, you had to go sideways between the wall and the shower entrance. We stayed at a different hotel the next night and it could not have been more different. The bedroom and toilet of this hotel, would have fitted easily into the bedroom at the next, with space left over and the second hotel was 10 euros cheaper. Our other problem, was that because of a medieval festival, that was on that weekend, all the roads around were closed. Which made it difficult to find the hotel by car, we ended up parking in an area near by and walking down to find the hotel. Then back up to get luggage etc. The next morning was no different, we had to go over the river, but all the roads in the town around the bridge, were blocked off. We had to go several miles out of town, to fin an alternative route. This made a very stressful start to our next journey."

"Stayed 2 nights when visiting Puy du Fou. The hotel was clean, staff friendly and the children enjoyed the pool. I’d recommend. "

"Where to start? Lets be positive...the staff were all very friendly and attentive and the manager (whose name I missed but has a nice dog) was very good in dealing with my complaint and said that she had only recently joined and recognised there was a lot to do. The plan was to spend a couple of days at the hotel relaxing in the grounds and making use of the pool etc however we decided to cut short our stay due to a number of reasons; Our room was the smallest in the Chateau and not really big enough for 2 people with two suitcases. The mini bar could not be opened without rearanging the furniture first. The ac was noisy even when off. In the bathroom the toilet seat was broken and the shower head was leaking. A bin was just laying on its side under the vanity unit...I didn't check to see if it was clean or dirty. Generally the hotel is in need of a major upgrade. You can have an old property with old furnishings but they can still be maintained or replaced....the bathroom can be easily be bought up to date. There would be more leeway but the price was 5 star but the hotel was nowhere near."
