"The most magical place I've been to! The hotel is an old estate and they have redone it beautifully. The staff was first class, the food delicious and there were so many activities to sign up for! Spa was impressive with the hydrotherapy, cold plunge and different saunas! We will definitely go back!!"

We enjoyed chatting with the owner Fernando who acquired, renovated and expanded over 15 years. It is a truly special place. Fernando offers a limited menu of local items and fresh produce from the gardens. The pool.is glorious. You can walk down to the river for a swim, stroll the vineyards or just enjoy the various terraces.I could go on and on. Book your stay for at least a couple of nights and just relax! There's no AC, but you won't need it. wifi is spotty so turn off your device. If you really need it you can get online easily. Enjoy Fernando's creation! Oh, breakfast is fabulous with juices and condiments made from the produce grown on the property."

"Beautiful property in the beautiful Douro Valley with a nice pool. There is no winery on site, but it is in the middle of beautiful vineyards. You can go down the road to Pinhao or to St. Eufemia Winery for a tour. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accomodating. Great price for a beautiful stay. The property would benefit from some more outdoor leisure areas to sit peacefully and enjoy the view other than the balcony of your room or the pool/deck. Lenore at the desk was very nice and very helpful."
