"Room small, not room for 2 persons bags, odor in room (masked w diffusers), shower didn't drain, manager/concierge gave us the worst room even tho we decided to stay extra night. However we still liked the hotel..maybe better room next time"

"My husband and I enjoyed 10 nights at the Castellmar. The building is older and the bathroom could use a face lift but everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The deck off the living room was huge and we enjoyed our partial view of the sea. I would recommend this property for the price even though the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours. "

"My wife and I stayed here for one week. We originally thought it was closer to Barcelona than it actually is. But that wasn’t a problem as the nearby train station (4-5 blocks) is convenient and runs frequently. We did make the mistake of thinking all the return trains make all the same stops. They don’t, as we found out as our stop went right past us. We got off at the next station, waited less than ten minutes for the next train heading back which did make our stop. Lesson learned. "The staff at this hotel are super. They are friendly and helpful. The food is basic in the restaurant, but adequate...I was just on a long airport layover. The night desk guy helped me call a taxi at 3 am. I would have been sunk without his help since my app refused to work. The only thing I didn't like about this place was it was so hot in the room I couldn't sleep. The lobby was hot too. Not sure what was going on with that, as it wasn't hot outside. "Lovely hotel with beautiful swimming pool Ordered burgers at the pool bar but were sent out very rare… had to send back 3 of the dishes and asked to be cooked better. Instead of sending back 3 new burgers they sent back the same burgers with cold chips on it .. not sure why this was done but apart from that.. lovely stay"

"Location is good, neighbourhood is quiet (May 2024), but noise in the hallway and other rooms can be heard clearly. Neighbouring rooms and people walking through the hallways cause irritation. Rooms need to be better sound-proofed."

"Had a very late check-in, the worker over the phone walked us through the self check in process and was very pleasant and helpful. The following morning the desk worker was also very kind and called us a cab. Our one complaint is the AC was pretty weak and that is pretty impactful for our sleep. Overall though a clean place with great staff! "
