I grew up there...and I now live in Boston. Nice to visit and see family still in the area, but I've done all the scenic items many times over the years.






Travelers enjoy West Carthage for its restaurants and churches. Consider checking out Black River while you're in the area.

They let us do a very late check in at 1 am/ let them know ahead. Very inexpensive to stay, nothing fancy but staff was friendly, everything clean.

Cabin was cozy a bit drafty but not uncomfortable. Lots of fun to play at the lake. Quiet for the most part.

Affordable , secluded, beautiful cottage with everything you need! Twenty min drive from town. Definitely a change for my family with a weekend away from the internet but was much needed! Snowmobiling trails right from the cottage were amazing. Aside from the fact my 2up caught on fire, Dan and Carol ...

You can learn about the history of Carthage with a stop at Historic Train Station. While in this family-friendly area, you can enjoy the coffeehouses.
