"The hotel is modern, clean, and convenient, and it's a great value. The staff, especially the General Manager Mr. Abdul Rab, is a gem. **pedia basically screwed up this booking due to website errors during payment ("Oops, something went wrong on our end, please try again"). They ended up booking the hotel five times, all on the wrong dates which had apparently re-loaded from the previous cached page for the booking I had just completed at a different hotel, for the day before this one. What a mess. I was able to cancel three; the fourth needed Customer Care to cancel. The fifth had already processed by then, and **pedia said they couldn't cancel it because it was a "no cancellation" booking. Two more days of frustrating emails and customer care sessions got me nowhere. **pedia could not (or would not) talk to the hotel manager. I finally called the hotel, spoke to Mr. Rab, and he graciously agreed to untangle the mess. This is probably the last time I will use 3rd-party booking, because when there's a problem, the hotel has very few options with the booking partner. Other than that - the hotel was wonderful, and the staff is super courteous and helpful. We'll be back! - Norm"

"Great stay in Troy. Easy to get in and the rooms/beds were very good. Did not realize there were two locations on the same property/house. It was ok, because there were not other tenants but it would have been weird. May consider an option to separate the rental better?"

"I was looking for aweekend getaway - a quaint place to lay my head, move at my pace, and feel disconnected from the hustle for a few days. Riverview Cabin was exactly what i needed and i couldn't have imagined better. It was simple, clean, quiet, and everything i didn't know I needed. Within the first 15 minutes, we knew we would have a fantastic weekend. By the time we left, we were ready to book our next trip here. The views were spectacular from the porch. Everything is a described. The river is a little hike to get to, but well worth it if you're up for an adventure and enjoy the outdoors. Just making it down the path to sit on the rock at sunset will change your life. We will be returning, probably way more than what we would have imagined. "

"We stayed three nights for a wine-tasting getaway and a trip to Monticello. Everything is close by, the wineries and Monticello. The lovely little town of Scotsville has wonderful restaurants and a terrific coffeeshop/bakery with muffins, scones and delicious quiche. The farm is wonderful with dogs and cattle and a firepit! The living room is quite comfortable for late night chats and the kitchen is fully functional! What a nice time! The hosts are terrific and friendly and willing to help steer us in the right direction!"

"Stayed two nights while attending weddings in the area. A very unique and enjoyable stay. The trail down to the treehouse results in a quiet and secluded space - surrounded by forest and the sounds of birds. As mentioned in the listing, the path from the parking to the treehouse is a somewhat steep wooded trail, and there is a ladder up to the loft bedroom - so this would not be great for those with mobility issues. But for us, these things enhanced our stay, and we would definitely return. The hot tub beneath the treehouse was also really great."
