"Con and Marlene were quite accomodating and pleasant. Their hospitality was stellar and they truky made our stay wonderful. As for the farmhouse, it was so cozy and warm. "How do I even begin to say how amazing the experience was to stay at The Tides. Our original plans for another B&B were cancelled by mistake and we were stuck without a place to stay shortly before dinner. When we did some research we discovered The Tides. AND WOW WHAT A COMPLETE JOY! It’s better than we could have imagined. From the moment we walked into meet it hosts and saw their beautiful home, to great advice to where we could fine, to the amazing accommodations and the breakfast of Irish perfection—wow! (we felt like it was the way traveling used to be…no hotel or hurried attitudes—-only being with real people who wanted to take care of us). It was by accident we found The Tides, but it will be on purpose that we want to return and tell everyone how worth Ballybunion is because The Tides made us feel welcomed and rested and fed with the best Ireland could offer! Thank you Doreen & David and to Expedia for offering The Tides! "

Paradise in Ireland

"Michelle had freshly made scones for us when we arrived and showed us how to work everything in the house. The view is amazing, the hot tub lovely, the horses in the field and the pantry well stocked. It is far from many places, so be prepared for some long drives. Our family of 13 had plenty of space and wanted for nothing. . Michelle is delightful "

"This hotel is lovely and it’s right beside the beach. We stayed in one of the apartments, which was quiet, spacious and included a small kitchen, washer and dryer. The hot breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed the beautiful sea views in the dining area. This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be as close as possible to the beach."
