"The house was gorgeous! So many fantastic amenities (we were particularly fond of the ice maker), the furniture was comfortable & beautiful, the views from the various decks & porches were great. We couldn’t have been happier or more satisfied with the house. You can tell the owners take great pride in it, and have put a lot of time & effort into making a house you’ll feel comfortable & relaxed in. The location is within walking distance of a lovely beach & literally right around the corner from an entrance into Acadia National Park. We can’t recommend the house enough! Thank you for sharing it with us, Kate!"

"This was conveniently located 15 minutes from Bar Harbor on the south side of Acadia National Park. The property is an upstairs apartment and is very clean with ample amenities. The best grocery store options are in Ellsworth, so load up there prior to entering Mount Desert island. We enjoyed being apart from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor yet having easy access to Acadia. Your hosts make check in a breeze and are very responsive. We enjoyed cycling on the carriage roads, sea kayaking, exploring the coast line, and even spent time in Southwest Harbor at the Wonderland trail and Beal’s lobster shack. I would definitely recommend this property!"

Bar Harbor Home Near Everything

"We loved our stay at this Bar Harbor log cabin home that was within minutes of downtown Bar Harbor, Thunder Hole, The Wild Gardens of Acadia (highly recommend), Schooner Head Overlook, Asticou Azalea Garden and several accesses to the park. This place easily sleeps 10 people with all the comforts of home. The beds were comfortable and included 2 pillows per person. There was an abundance of towels and we never ran out of hot water! The kitchen was well furnished with cooking equipment and tableware. The oven, stove, toaster, coffee maker and dish washer worked well. There was lots of space where the family could gather together or hide if you needed a little quiet time. My 3 year old granddaughter loved the deck - great place for her to play and ride a little bike. The side porch with the entrance to the house was covered allowing us to unload the car and quickly get out of the rain on arrival. We used the fire pit twice to make some-mores. I highly recommend this home for vacation. "

"Very nice, clean, well stocked house. Roomy enough for a large family. Amazing location literally steps away from the trails of Acadia National Park. We hiked Cadillac Mountain and the coastal trail by connecting through the trail that begins just down the street from the house."
