Top Naturalist's Notebook Hotel Reviews

Quiet oasis across the street from Acadia and just steps from the harbor

10/10 Excellent

"The amenities this close to the park made this place the perfect stay!Property itself is quirky, and finding it in the dark without cell service is not something I’d recommend, but it was an excellent place for our Acadia trip!"

Acadia New Construction! 2nd Floor Apartment Close to Acadia, 2 Minutes from SWH

10/10 Excellent

"When we showed up at the house, we were completely taken back by how cute and cozy the space was. Well decorated and spacious, it was the perfect space for a secluded getaway. There was lot of space for cooking, hanging out, and watching TV shows in the evening, and it served as a relaxing place to rest after the hikes in Acadia. Every day, we got to see a few deer who must also live nearby and always put a smile on our faces. Even though the house feels secluded, you didn't have to travel far to buy food at the well stocked grocery store nearby, and have adventures antiquing, exploring lighthouses, and trekking the beautiful trails in Acadia National Park. The hosts were friendly and communicated well, and we could tell a lot of effort had been made to ensure we had as enjoyable of a time as possible. Naturally, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property and would love to stay here again if given the chance!"

Bordering Acadia National Park

8/10 Good

"This is a great property that is at the edge of Acadia National Park and Close to Bar Harbor. We had a great visit and were close enough to everything to come back to the house to relax and then go out again! The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. There were books, games, and grill on the back deck. We had a great visit!"

Bunkers Cove Cottage

10/10 Excellent

"We chose this location for our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been happier. It felt like the quintessential Maine experience getting to stay on an island, and the views were incredible. It was great being so close to Acadia too. You will have to be vigilant with the ferry schedule and being to the docks on time. Otherwise, you will have to get the more expensive water taxi if you miss the last ferry. Also, keep an eye on the ferry facebook page. They will sometimes cancel times due to wind/weather. The hosts Jennifer and Geoff were fantastic and always had quick communication with us to answer all of our questions. The caretaker Paul brought us more firewood right as we were running out as well. We were well taken care of!"

Harbourside Inn

10/10 Excellent

"The inn was a lovely example of New England B&B experience. Quaint room design and excellent proximity to carriage roads and hiking trails. Staff was really nice and helpful! Pointed us toward some local points of interest. The “breakfast” was minimal, muffins and mini-quiches with some fruit. But it was enough to get a day started and the coffee was good."

Comfortable Suite in Downtown Northeast Harbor w/ WiFi & AC - Walk to the Water

10/10 Excellent

"Very convenient location in a super cute town. Close to Acadia National Park and other areas. We were there at the tail end of the season so it was pretty quiet, but we enjoyed that aspect. The suite had everything we needed for our stay."

2 BR Next to Beach & Park Entrance! [The Notebook]

10/10 Excellent

"Feedback:Loved the location. Convenient to the beach and bike rental shop. Easy drive to Bar Harbor. The kitchen is well equipped for quick meals, but there is no dishwasher. Small Safety issue - A light is needed by the front door near the entrance so that the dark staircase can be safely navigated at dark. It was hard to see.Bathroom:Towel bar kept falling apart. One end bracket was very loose and needed to be re attached. The plumbing fixture over the sink was too large, A nice design but such a large size fixture over the sink made it hard to use the sink.Main bedroom:The top dresser drawer is broken. Suggest they invest in some sturdier furniture. The deck is not accessible from the unit. You have to exit the unit downstairs walk to the rear of the unit and climb a flight of stairs to access the deck. By and large, I really liked our little abode!"
