Hotel Krone Aachen City - Eurogress

"I booked a stay at this hotel through Expedia, but was unable to sleep due to extremely poor conditions. The entire building was under construction and had an overwhelming odor. The room lacked basic amenities such as cups or glasses, a safety box, shampoo, soap, even a shower head, and even lighting—believe it or not, I had to rely on the bathroom light to illuminate the room. The bed was extremely unstable—just a single cough caused it to bounce so much that I nearly fell off.
The toilet flush wasn’t working properly, there was no phone in the room to call for assistance, the closet was broken, and the staircase leading to the rooms was not only damaged but smelled terrible.
To make matters worse, there was no reception service after 11 PM. I checked in around 10 PM, and upon seeing the condition of the room, I went to find help, only to discover the front desk was already closed. I had to leave the hotel just to buy water and disposable cups. By the time I returned, the main entrance was locked, and I was forced to enter through the back.
This stay was extremely disappointing and far below even the most basic hospitality standards. I kindly request a full-night stay compensation for the time wasted and the distress I experienced."

"This is a budget hotel, saying that the room was spotless, a good size with plenty of power points and a working tv. The bath was really clean with added extras such as tissues, shower gel and hand wash plus a huge lighted mirror and a small but powerful hairdryer. Really impressed especially for the price."

"We were here for a wedding and I chose the hotel for its proximity to the wedding venues (though I was a little scared that I was not reading the maps properly). We were close to the three venues but we did get a taxi to the last venue because of new shoes!
The hotel was wonderful. The staff very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was very good and the breakfasts were delicious. The beds were very comfortable, and the showers were wonderful so all in all a very good choice.
I also loved all the paintings throughout the hotel.
Thank you for a very relaxing stay.
