"Beautiful room with a lot of space, high ceilings, sumptuous decor and a touch of local pride. I had a room with a great view, a luxury bathroom and all the trimmings. A huge, comfy bed let me get a good night's sleep. Staff at reception and at breakfast were welcoming, friendly and efficient. I also really like that I can so easily walk to this hotel from the train station. I've stayed here on several occasions and it's been consistently excellent. I've stayed in several other hotels in Dundee and think the Malmaison is the best option."

"We had a room in the castle, which was quite a surprise. Appreciated that and the estate surroundings that were so peaceful. The onsite restaurant had a sufficient menu and breakfast, off the menu, was delicious. "

Breakfast buffet was also very good (although the quality of coffee could be improved). We found free overnight parking at the East Port car park about 50m from the hotel."
