"There was a £50 deposit on arrival which had not been mentioned anywhere else so was a shock to have to pay this on arrival. Staff were helpful, some of the stuff was a bit dated & shabby. Room was clean & well stocked. Pleasant enough stay."

"Check in was fine, except the unexpected parking charge, which I was later told that this was because I had booked through a 3rd party. I pulled up my reservation and confirmed to the receptionist that it was advertised as Free Self Parking. Not communicated with me prior to arrival. An opportunity for immediate resolution was missed. Mis-selling, unfair treatment on consumer rights. Opening themselves right up to complaints and other issues. Room was musty, outdated and just felt like things had been chucked in there. Couldn't find a plug to charge my phone or do some work on my laptop. I booked a twin, was given a single. I'm 6'4", I need the extra room to move around. In the morning, no hot water...at all. Saving graces, the breakfast buffet was exceptional, the receptionist who helped me out in the morning was brilliant. Costs are similar to that of Premier Inn, but with nowhere near the quality. I will not be staying here again and recommend you dont either."

"Simple with basic but adequate facilities but secure and reasonably quiet. Narrow but comfortable beds. Check in staff efficient and polite. Good tea & coffee facilities. Excellent and helpful cleaning staff. Good location for night attractions, dining and drinks. Excellent bus and tram links. Main problem was only one lift working...and that was temperamental. It does not help to see a sign " be healthy take the stairs" when you are oaps and need to carry suitcases up several flights."

"Paid for the deluxe premium room. Which was clean and well presented. The room 220 had black out curtains ( a big plus) The bathroom had plenty of fresh clean towels. The room faced towards a very busy road, but i couldnt hear the traffic. My only COMPLAINT was NO WINDOW BLIND in the bathroom. Yes it had obscured glass but i didnt feel comfortable using the toiletor shower. So i used a towel to cover the window. I raised the issue with the reception when i checked out. Hopefully it is dealt with immediately. "
