"I loved the way the owners have a large selection of vhs' to take to your room. The room was clean. The lake is beautifully nestled in a small valley that is not overly polluted with noise from the highway near-by. I was sad that the owners were not able to open their restaurant this year due to staffing issues. But will definitely be back and am looking forward to that Italian meal."

"We had another fantastic weekend at The Bears Den!! I have lost count of how many times we have rented the property but every time we arrive it feels like we are home! The location is perfect with a short walk to the lake and the views from the patio and through all the windows is amazing. The cabin itself is well equipped with everything you need. The beds are so comfortable and the linens are beautiful. We look forward to many more weekends at The Bears Den!!"

"We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was fully stocked. Lots of ameneties at your disposal which was convienent and dog friendly;) Only a little challenge is the attached bathroom was on the exterior so you had to exit the cabin and go over to bathroom. Property was very clean."

"Inside the cabin was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Communication with the Property Manager was very prompt and helpful. Our group was travelling to and from a family reunion for four days which meant 20 kms of tough gravel road driving each way. It was tough on our car, would recommend a truck or SUV if doing a lot of driving from the cabin."

"A lovely place to stay after a long motorcycle woods—and surrounded by wild nature! Wonderful host, too! I hope to return. Note: you're driving in around 20-25 minutes in from Clearwater, BC over dirt roads that eventually climb quite a bit through some tight switchbacks to find the property. I didn't have any problem on my motorcycle (Kawasaki Versys 650 or sport touring/light ADV style), but sounds like some other two-wheeled riders have found the approach to the property challenging. "Listed VRBO photos don’t do this place justice—the setting is absolutely beautiful and serene, clean and very quiet. It’s so relaxing. Building designs are creative, and staff are helpful and friendly. It’s a great location for Wells Gray exploration! There was a pair of sandhill cranes on the property while we were there, as well as farm animals, black bear and deer nearby.
