"The grounds are beautiful, pool is very nice. The place needed maintenance and cleaning. There was so many “things” (knick-knacks, old furniture,useless kitchen items)making it look quite messy. The driveway was very steep and extremely bumpy."

We watched amazing thunderstorms break over the lake and the sun rise through the mist. The village location is quiet and authentic and very pretty . "Das Haus war neu renoviert und sehr geräumig. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Ausstattung und den 3 Balkonen. Der Straßenlärm war aber ziemlich unerträglich. Das Haus liegt direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße und hat leider keine Parkmöglichkeit (wurde im Inserat aber behauptet). Wir mussten 500 m entfernt auf einer öffentlichen Straße parken und konnten nur in aller Eile kurz ausladen. "Live like a local, in the thick of things, yet in a house that is quiet and cool. WE stayed in end of June, and swam every day among the bees smothered lavender. the house is close to Como, Milan, and Varese, and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners are very nice, and were around when we needed things. Lots of grocery stores, and restaurants close by. We loved Found Sushi which acted as a nice palate cleanser to all the pasta we ate:) The Pool is surrounded by Cypress, and calms you...

"Grande maison, spacieuse, située dans un quartier calme. Le jardin est très agréable. Les propriétaires ne parlent qu'italien, la communication était un peu difficile mais on y est arrivé ! "Our family was fortunate enough to rent Villa Olivia in Meina for most of August. The villa was extraordinary, perched on a hill overlooking Lago Maggiore. We only have wonderful things to say about the home, from the impeccable accommodations, warm pool (heated), sauna and lots of room to enjoy the days and evenings as a family. The owner, Sara, was quick to respond to every need and went out of her way to make suggestions for sightseeing, trips to the mountains and finding the best beaches....
