Friendly helpful staff.
Very comfortable bed , room cleaned every day and were allowed to park at the hotel next door.
As previously mentioned they serve a great breakfast .
Five minute drive to town centre but pub and takeaway nearby.
Will book again next time that we visit Dumfries."
"Very disappointing. I paid £98 for a very basic twin room for 1 night. Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. No TV in room but was told I could watch TV downstairs if I wanted to. The shower didn't work properly - either scalding hot or dribbled out cold water. Sink took ages to drain, noisy radiator. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Morag shared with us local recommendations for eating out. Our morning started off with the most delicious Scottish breakfast. We would highly recommend a stay at The Hightae Inn."
