"Our location was beautiful. We met our host and showed us our villa. It was a condo cottage part of a hotel.Our condo was clean . Our bed was very uncomfortable and our pillows were extremely hard. No extra anything to exchange themThe pool was lovely, the hot tub was a cold tub. We loved the location however barking dogs kept us awake both nights. Be aware of many steep stairs. Hate to be negative but can’t give more than a three. "

The three bedrooms are a dream – the beds are super comfortable, just perfect for a restful sleep. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, just like home! "We absolutely enjoyed this lovely place and thanks a lot to the lovely hosts! The apartment has an amazing view (even from the beds which are quite comfy), is well equipped and has a beautiful terrace. We had a rental car and you reach Funchal in a few minutes. The owners were extremely friendly and even gave us fruits like bananas and papayas from the garden when we arrived. There is no street noise and we found the place very calm and relaxing. We would definitely recommend this place and...

"We stayed at Vivenda da Esquina for 1 week recently. Everything was very good about it especially the spectacular panoramic sea view. We did find the immediate neighbourhood quite noisy however. There is building work going on across the road on another property and we heard dogs barking through the night and a cockerel crowing from 5am each morning. Overall very good but remember to pack ear plugs!"
