"We spent the week sitting on the patio or soaking in the pool, watching and listening to wildlife, from monkeys and agoutis to toucans, hummingbirds, and all kinds of other exotic and rare birds (you should seriously consider downloading the Merlin Bird ID app!). We watched humpback whales breaching in the sea, enjoyed the company of geckos and basilisks, and were very happy with the level of comfort and privacy. It was quiet but not far from groceries and anything else you want/need while in the country. We've stayed at 7 or 8 villas/houses in Costa Rica, and this is the one we''ll go back to. Everyone was very responsive and made the entire process seamless. We can't recommend this place enough. "

"No words can describe the beauty and peacefulness of this property. The grounds are spectacular and our room was gorgeous overlooking the ocean and sunsets. Upon our arrival we were greeted with refreshing beverages and brought to our room where we saw Toucans and Parrots . In our two day visit we saw monkeys and frogs and lots of butterflies! It was so hard to leave. The entire staff was so kind and friendly and helpful. It was the highlight of our 10day Costa Rican vacation. We will definitely return again. . "

"This is definitely a 4 star not a 3 star hotel. Pool is really big and great lounging areas and garden around. Toucans are plenty here and easy to spot. Feels like a hidden gem and a truly special place. It is expensive though… particularly drinks and food is definitely a lot higher than in other places. You get what you pay for though and the quality is good. Highly recommend the family suite "

"What a great house! The view is phenomenal, and you can't beat the privacy. The wildlife is wonderful, the water is HOT, and the AC is cold. We were a little bummed to realize the jacuzzi isn't heated, but there's a giant bathtub in the master bathroom right by a window that was just as enjoyable, so no worries! The kitchen is large and usable, and the grill was a nice touch. We had a wonderful stay, and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a good time in Costa Rica."

"This is a perfect getaway hotel for couples, friends, and even families. The hotel is incredibly well designed and the staff members are extremely thoughtful and accommodating. I had special dietary needs and they were kind enough to cater to that. You must get the full board, it’s so worth it! Every meal we had at the hotel was excellent. The experience we had at this hotel was truly unmatched. It’s private enough to make you feel secluded from the world but close enough to town for other activities. The hotel offers plenty of activities for multiple fitness levels. We did the night hike with a very passionate guide who not only found us rare wildlife but also taught us so much about the wildlife and plants. Would highly recommend this place and would love to go back "

"First off, the staff at this quaint lodge were hands down amazing. Enrique and Christina took care of all our food and beverage needs and then some! Silvia, the manager, handled all our other needs quickly and made us feel special! The cleaning crew made sure our room was like new every day! Christophe and Sebastian checked in with us daily to make sure everything was going smoothly for us. Christophe even hooked us up with the airport pickup upon our departure and overnight stay in San Jose before leaving Costa Rica. The food stole the show at this location! Unique dishes were presented at each lunch and dinner that combined locally grown foods with a healthy I’d say European flair! Outstanding ~ well done chefs! Even the desserts were a surprise! If I could change anything about the stay it would have been the pillows and having a regular coffee maker in the room! I’m super picky about my pillow tho!!! And the European espresso machines are just not my thing! So really these are minor complaints and a matter of one’s personal taste! Lastly, the property itself is set up high to afford an amazing view of the ocean. Birds are a plenty with Toucans landing on the trees above the pool area. We also got to see the humpback whales on our snorkel tour. If you are looking for a unique, personal experience in a lush location with an ocean view, this is your spot!"
