"I've only not given a top score on condition, as there was a ceiling water leak at ground floor between the lift and the swimming pool, which here would have a sign warning you - not that anyone slipped that I saw, but not 10/10. Perfectly located away form the bustle and the centre, but crawling distance to, it was very peaceful and the road itself quite pleasant. I particularly liked staying on the island as it felt like retreating from Hoi An for a bit."

"The Present River in Hoi An is a great hotel in the heart of the ancient town. It is an easy 10 minute walk to restaurants, bars and shops in the area, but away from the noise. Present River Villa has cold A/C in the rooms, a pool and free bikes to use to check out Hoi An. The staff are friendly, helpful and speak some English. The rate of the hotel is excellent! Staff were extremely friendly & helpful, varying degrees of english comprehension which wasn't that much of a negative & was more than compensated by their fantastic customer service, nothing was a problem. The listing states you get the entire house or at least that’s how I read it but you are only in fact getting a room not the entire house. This was expected however given the price and I really did love my stay. Our group of 6 had originally been allocated 3 rooms but two of our friends decided they didn’t want to share so opted to pay a little extra to get a fourth room."
