"This is a great place on a budget on the outskirts of Santa Ponsa the area a little rough to be truthful and a serious amount of steps to get up which takes its toll after a couple days ,the hotel itself is trying to accommodate all male and female groups and families with children with dont blend well , we had to put up with swearing and lots of drinking around the pool , can only put it down to the owners like the income stags and hens bring , big asset is the life guard she was brilliant and constantly watching the pool , would I go back no , the actual Santa Ponsa very nice and would return but other parts of Mallorca better im sure."

"The hotel is at a very good level overall. The interior design is beautiful, and its incredible location on a cliff gives the property a cascading layout, allowing about 90% of the rooms to enjoy breathtaking sea views. I especially appreciated the privacy on the balcony, thanks to the concrete partitions with frosted glass. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Although the selection was not huge, everything was fresh and well-prepared. I would particularly like to highlight the outstanding pastries – they were absolutely amazing. The cocktails at the pool bar were excellent, both in taste and presentation. The hotel grounds are very clean, well-maintained, and beautifully landscaped. There is access to the sea, which is a great advantage. However, the staircase leading back up from the sea is very inconvenient. Elderly guests or people with excess weight may find it quite difficult to climb. The biggest downside of the rooms is the mattresses and bedding. They were very uncomfortable and significantly affected the quality of sleep."

"Such a nice hotel in a great location. The grounds of the hotel and area by the sea are lovely and unique. Great transport links to Palma, super friendly staff and the food was great!! Seafood every night, fab selection of salads and desserts definitely worth paying for half board even if you only eat at the hotel once or twice."

"As always the staff are brilliant! The only disappointing aspect was the vegetarian options. The few items they did have, were marked incorrectly. Went to the Teppanyaki restaurant, very disappointed. Prior to arrival explained 1 x vegetarian 1 x pescatarian. The chef was adamant that meant we ate anything except red meat! Not acceptable, for a hotel of this rating…"

Bahia Principe Escape Coral Playa - Adults Only 16+

"Great location close to a beach. Easy to go from the hotel pool to take a swim at the sea. Hotel locates on top of a steep hill, so walking to the hotel may require some fitness :) Has gym with quite new and good shape equipment. However, we would have apprecited a proper leg macine. Good room with a fridge and an excellent bed. We liked the open wardrope arrangrement (no doors but with drawers). Amazing sea view. Pretty new bathroom (but no toilet seat brush). No disturbing noise coming from streets or bars. Hotel’s sound isolation is not the best one. In our last night we suffered from noisy hotel guest slamming doors and speaking loudly. Very good brakfast. Also the snack/ lunch food at the pool bar was excellent. Even pool rules forbids reserving the sun beds, some hotel guests started to reserve the beds 1..2 hours before they finally come to the pool area. Other guests were kind of forced to do the same. Hotel staff ignored it. Overall we could recommend this hotel."

"I booked this hotel going on the reviews & i found it was an excellent hotel & under rated in its reviews. Check in was quick & smooth, the room was as described, food in the hotel for half board was very reasonable & well worth the option,all staff around the hotel were friendly & helpful,i had a problem with the tv & they sent a technician who tried to fix it but eventually replaced it with a straight out the box new tv, the pool areas are nice & especially the pool near reception, the gardens around the hotel are amazing & well looked after, all in all i found it to be a relaxing hotel & would look to return everytime. If I was to pick fault, i found the room to be a little cold as we was in the basement room with a terrace & the air conditioning could do nothing about as the entire hotel is regulated but reception provided blankets. TV had English channels but no kettle."
