"We love staying here when we are in the Monterey area. It is very convenient location, close to shopping restaurant, and a few minutes from downtown and the beaches."

"Perfect stop for a quick stay!"

"They need grab bars in the shower and by toilet. Otherwise the room was great!"

"Excellent care and helpful behavior throughout. Room was great. On site restaurant excellent. All in all a place we will come back to."

"This place was AMAZING!! The complimentary breakfast and wine happy hour were such a special touch that also brought all the guest's together. Whenever I am back in Pacific Grove, I will be stayingat the Charles. :) One of the best stays I have had in a long time."

"7 Gables was clean and well maintained, the hosts were inviting and helpful, the breakfasts were excellent. Our room was perfect for what we wanted, a quiet restful getaway, instead of a TV being front and center like a hotel room, we had an East facing view of the bay! Got to watch the sunrise over the bay every morning. The room was quiet, we didn’t hear other guests at all. It was a perfect fit for us."

"Super convenient location. Everything was within walking distance. Love the staff and the breakfast! Rooms were superclean fully stocked with everything we needed."

"Very disappointed with our stay here. Room was terrible and not what we booked. It was a handicap room and not facing the ocean. Also did not include parking which was an additional cost I didn’t expect. Waiting for our room to be ready the heating and cooling system as well as the tv were very hard to operate as well as the shower. Would not recommend this hotel at all. The staff upon arrival were also very rude. We did not expect this considering the cost paid close to $800 for two night stay...

"We had another beautiful stay at The Clement. The staff was friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the housekeeping and bell staff. The location is the best in town, and the bed…I wish I could take it home with me! I highly recommend this hotel!"

"BEWARE, NO air-conditioning, needed windows to be open. We stayed in a city view room on the top floor. VERY NOISY till the wee hours and woken by garbage and delivery trucks every morning! That being said the room was BEAUTIFUL!! enjoyed the breakfast service and happy hour in the lobby."

"The property was clean and the room was really good. We enjoyed a comfortable one night stay at the location. The staff were also courteous and well mannered. Would return again"

"Lovely property. Just like the photos The dinning was exceptional Very clean."

"The room was so cool and comfy, the location was awesome. Valet was awesome. Staff were really nice and fast. I would give them 6 stars if i could! Thank you portola!!"

"Beautiful property, great location, the staff was very kind and helpful."

"This nearly-new hotel is perfectly situated in Pacific Grove, just 2 blocks from the beach and Lover's Point. My room was spacious and well-appointed, with a balcony facing the courtyard. There was some noise from live music and the courtyard lounge, so if you want a quiet room, ask for an outside-facing one. Staff were courteous and helpful, and it was a smooth stay. Would definitely recommend and return to stay again."
