The staff were fantastic! I witnessed an interaction of an angry man who walked in being very loud and disrespectful and the gentleman at the front desk remained professional and kind the whole interaction. I also left my phone at the front desk when I arrived and they kept it safe for me until I came back to claim it. I would definitely recommend this place!
Definitely NOT a 4 star stayโฆ we were very disappointed with our room for many reasons. It was dirty, had a bad smell, and the air conditioning unit was so loud turning off and on every half hour through the night with no cold air or air at all blowing through. Hallways and stairwell were gross and dirty. Front desk staff were both nice which is the only positive of our stay. I will never be staying here again and would never recommend to anyone.
This property is run down on the outside. I did not feel safe when I pulled into the parking lot. I spoke to Expedia who tried to call the hotel but no one answered. As I had prepaid I did go in and asked to see a room the clerk was pleasant and showed me the room . It was ok for clean but old and very basic. That was fine but I just could not shake my dread to stay there. Clientel looked mixed saw a family but also had the feeling that it could be "long term stays". May be fine for some, but as a woman traveling alone it was not for me.
They don't have a kitchenette and the fan in the toilet was really loud, the light on the wall stopped working from the second day. The only reason that i stayed there is because the private appartments cancelled several times and it's hard to find a hotel in a relatively low price. Don't expect too much!
Shower was cold with periodic warm water. The bed sheets were stained and old/hard. The fridge didn't work. This is a hotel I'd expect to pay $50/night but it cost us $200/night. I get that the Stampede raises room costs in Calgary, but come on. We weren't even in Calgary for the stampede anyway.
I consider this like homeless shelter
I fell in the tub almost hurt myself they have no safety side bars or floor mat to help you not slip and fall I complained they said oh we have but people stealing them never heard that before I do not recommend Expedia to keep this hotel in their list
Water was brown, lights went out every 5 seconds while in the shower, police were at the hotel and staff was unhelpful at best. I would not recommend anyone I know to stay here. I felt unsafe.
