"I booked a deluxe room but we stayed in a standard room. We were only there for one night so I couldn’t be bothered to kick up a fuss.
There was a big stain on the carpet and the air con wasn’t great.
Otherwise a comfortable stay. The staff were attentive and pleasant.
The setting is magnificent but the hotel itself feels a little tired in places.
Free parking was a great perk."
"While we could overlook that the hotel was a little tired, staff were excellent, I was disappointed around the transparency about the pool rules and access for kids. Described as family friendly kids were limited to very restricted hours and space in the pool and unable to use the outdoor pool area and required to use the disabled toilet as a change room. It gave the impression that kids were a hinderance to the target, adult market of the spa. We booked the hotel especially because of the pool....
