"Located within the walls of ancient Carcassone, the hotel offers a unique opportunity to explore the area in the evening. There are nearby restaurants and bistros in case you don't want to go to the expense of eating in the hotel. If budgets are tight, have a drink in the hotel bar and then head down the cobbled streets for a dinner in one of the great restaurants or pubs. We opted for the pizza restaurant two minutes from the hotel. Breakfast was in a nearby bakery and suited us much better than the extravagant, over-the-top breakfast that we ate last year in the hotel. Carcassone is so very special; mysterious and ancient, and serenely beautiful. Enjoy it all. Give yourselves a full day within the walls. Two nights will make it fabulous getaway, or a memorable pause on your vacation in France."

"We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was an upgrade so we had a balcony and wonderful of the old city of Carcassonne. The bedroom had a huge open plan bathroom with large, round bath. We used the swimming pool, which is indoors and very nice for a quick dip. The breakfast was lovely! "
