"We stayed at the morel for 2 nights. Its location made access to the Margaree Valley to the south and Cheticamp to the north optimal. While it was a bit aged, the motel was well maintained and kept very clean and functional. The bathroom was newly renovated. Everything functioned properly. The staffs were excellent. Check in was very quick and the instructions were absolutely clear. She also offered to lend us a kettle which to us was absolutely essential. The guy owner also ran the motel restaurant, which while it only served breakfast, the varieties on the breakfast menu and the service to the table were great, plus the morning view overlooking the Margaree River was also pleasant. The service was not the fastest, for he was a one man band. He was very friendly though and brought up a good conversation. Positive experience overall."

"The location was awesome - walking distance to restaurants, bars and coffee shop. An hour from the cabot trail. Place was spotless, beds were extremely comfortable and everything you need was provided. Highly recommend."

"The property is very old but comfortable. The people running the Normaway are very accomadating. This is not a 5 star property but fun and I would definately stay there again, the Cape Breton spirit is alive and well with the people and celtic entertainment"

"My husband and I went for an anniversary getaway What a fantastic place to stay, easy to find and get to, the cabin was so clean and cozy, and the Cabot Trail was a great day trip, we already planned to return next year!"

"I loved the place. It was very nice and cozy. Would have been nice if we could have used the wood stove. The weather was cold and the place didn't heat up as good as I would have liked. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. It would be nice if there was a hot tub on the deck... just an idea. Host was good though and accommodated all our needs. Thought che k in and check out times good be adjusted and he was very accommodating letting us come a little earlier and leave a bit later. I found the time was a bit late for check in so we arrive an hour early and left an hour or so late. Host was very agreeable. Comfortable beds! Would enjoy the area better if the weather had been warmer."
